Before a crowd of nearly 1,000 attendees at the 2023 Two Days in May Conference on Victim Assistance, New Leaf Justice Enterprises—an initiative led by Jennifer Seifert, received the Promising Practice Award from Ohio Attorney General Dave Yost.

Presented at the Greater Columbus Convention Center, the award honors New Leaf’s innovative “recovery village” model, which reconnects individuals and families impacted by trauma, incarceration, or substance use with housing, childcare, and employment—all within a 10-minute walk in their community.

The recognition celebrates Seifert’s leadership in advancing a model that’s not only trauma-informed, but community-rooted, serving nine counties across Southeastern Ohio.
